It only took about an hour to get it installed. It looks like a whole new car to me now. Also, the guy that helped me had a really cool classic car collection.

It's made in the same factory as the Camry, so I guess it's
Grounded to the ground.

Really? I don't mind it, other than the fact that it can't Subaru anymore.

Looking good. Shame that this will be the first in a long line of car related assaults against your wallet.

You are really right. My next wallet assault involves new wheels.

The new Legacy looks so much better than the blob that was the previous one. Also, the JDM grill is waaaayyyy better!

It looks awesome! You did it yourself?
Edit: I see you had help but did in fact do it without a pro shop, good on you.

much better looking

I went to my mom's friend's house. He typically restores cars, so to him, popping off a brand new, non brittle bumper was no trouble whatsoever. I am especially glad I didn't have the pay the $80-250 that I was quoted by various shops. And the best part is that I now have confidence to do more work on the car by myself.

Thank you.

That's awesome to have someone like that you know, definitely helps save money on doing mods like these. I've got a good relationship with a shop but not that good.

Looks great! How is rear leg room in the outback? Is the second row spacious?
![]() 03/29/2015 at 17:56 |

Thanks. It's really roomy back there. I'm 6'10" and can get back there, although it's a bit cramped for me.

That's good to know. I'm trying to compile a list of possible next cars for my family. We like the third gen Forester, but I fear it may be too small for our needs. The last gen Outback wasn't the best looker. This is near perfect, and I think it offers the right amount of space.

Mine is a current gen, but I think that the interior space is about on par with last gen.
